As a former President of the WSSU National Alumni Association Atlanta Chapter, Murdock worked tirelessly to uplift his fellow Rams. His love for athletics, his unwavering support of WSSU, and his boundless enthusiasm for every event, game, and cause were nothing short of inspiring. He didn’t just cheer from the sidelines — he led from the front, always encouraging others to give their best, to show their Ram pride, and to remember the power of unity and community.
In honor of his life and the indelible mark he left on all of us, we are proud to announce that on this day, March 22, 2025, we have renamed our annual scholarship to The Murdock Williams, Jr. Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will serve as a lasting tribute to his passion for WSSU and his dedication to the success of future generations. It will support students who embody the same spirit of leadership, love of community, and commitment to excellence that Murdock so effortlessly displayed.
Let us honor him not just with our words, but with our actions — by continuing to support WSSU, by joining your local and national chapter, lifting up one another, and by carrying forward the love and pride he showed for his alma mater.
Rest well, Murdock. Your legacy will forever march on.
